WORK: LOGOS / IDENTITIES
Bar 515 | Logo & Environmental Branding Design
Bar 515 was a bar and grill in the Murray Hill neighborhood of New York City, known for carrying more than 80 imported and domestic beers. The identity needed to feel simple, memorable, and immediately connected to the casual bar experience.
I designed the Bar 515 logo using the shape of a beer bottle cap as the central visual idea. The bold 515 numerals become the focal point of the mark, while the compact circular structure gives the identity the familiarity of a classic beverage emblem without feeling overly decorative.
The identity was then extended into the physical environment, appearing on interior and exterior signage, entrance graphics, coasters, matchbooks, T-shirts, and restroom signage. The same bottle-cap form was adapted into simplified M and W symbols for the men’s and women’s restrooms, creating a cohesive visual language throughout the space.
The result is a straightforward, recognizable hospitality identity that works at multiple scales—from a coaster or matchbook to illuminated signage on the exterior of the building.
