Carry Water Designs | Website Design
Carry Water Designs is the creative practice of sculptor Matt Baral, whose one-of-a-kind wood structures are inspired by fractal patterns and repeating forms found throughout nature—from forests and oceans to plants and animal life.
After developing the Carry Water Designs brand identity, I designed a custom Squarespace website that would let Matt’s work take center stage. The site uses a simple, restrained visual system and generous imagery to showcase the detail, materiality, and organic character of each piece without competing with the artwork itself.
Just as importantly, the website was built to be easy for Matt to maintain and update independently as new work is completed. The result is an elegant, image-driven portfolio site that reflects the natural inspiration behind the brand while giving the artist a flexible platform to share his evolving body of work.
