Farm Forward | 2025 Annual Report

Farm Forward is a nonprofit organization working to end factory farming through research, public education, policy advocacy, investigations, and movement building. Its 2025 Annual Report, “Building the Will to End Factory Farming,” focuses heavily on the connections between industrial animal agriculture, public health, food safety, humanewashing, greenwashing, and government accountability.

The 2025 Annual Report is the third annual report I’ve designed for Farm Forward. While each year has its own distinct visual personality, all three are grounded in the organization’s established brand guidelines, typography, color palette, and visual identity. The goal is to keep the reports recognizable as Farm Forward while allowing the design to evolve with the story and priorities of each year.

For 2025, I developed a more open, contemporary editorial system with generous white space, curved image shapes, circular photography, bold serif typography, and a restrained use of Farm Forward’s signature green. The layout feels lighter and more refined than the previous report while still supporting serious, investigative subject matter.

The report brings together a wide range of content, including media coverage, public health investigations, bird flu, antibiotic resistance, salmonella contamination, humanewashing, greenwashing, aquaculture, movement building, financials, and donor recognition. Strong hierarchy, infographics, media callouts, photography, and campaign-focused spreads help organize dense information and make key findings easier to absorb.

The result is a 36-page nonprofit annual report that feels fresh and distinctive while remaining unmistakably Farm Forward—an evolving editorial system that supports the organization’s advocacy work without losing brand continuity.
